Thor Hushovd's Racing Machine

Stage 4 of the Amgen Cycling Tour ended in San Jose today. Moving quickly and scoping out the spot where the teams all park their RVs and perform daily maintenance, we found the place. It's a cyclist's heaven. Very expensive and exotic bikes all over the place, being washed, adjusted and fondled.

This is Thor Hushovd's machine. He has won a number of world championship events and along with winning several stages of the Tour de France, to mention a few accomplishments. His bike is one of few that is allowed the special "rainbow" stripes along the top tube and down the forks to show his world champion position from 2010.

Alex was the technician proudly adjusting the machine and talking with me about today's race and the pro hockey finals. Unfortunately, the Sharks are behind 2 games to none in the Western Finals Conference.
