Roadtrip Day 14: Hamner Springs and Kaikura

Kaikura Beach

Dropped Jenny off at the airport on the way out of town and then headed up to Hamner Springs. Enjoyed the hot pools for a few hours, and then continued on to Kaikura where we stayed the next night. Rainy again, as usual.

The water made the most amazing sound as it was sucked back into the sea through the steep rocks of the beach.

Campground review for Wingpig: A1 Kaikura Motel and Holiday Park
Probably avoid this one. Small funky place with limited tent sites. There's a Top 10 just down the road where we opted not to stay because it was way to much like a little paved village and not enough like a park.
