Park Bench--in the Rain

Today has been a rough day. I was finally able to go for a blip walk, knowing that I would get in some rain. I put on the raincoat I bought to go to Scotland, grabbed my umbrella, and walked to Hollinshead Park. This is a lovely park 2 blocks from my home. It was a homestead for many years, and was bequeathed to the city's Park and Recreation District on conditions that it would remain mostly untouched.

There are several old buildings on the property, many old-growth ponderosa pine trees, a community garden and an off-leash dog park.

This bench sits on the east edge of the park. I had ducked under the overhang of an old barn, and caught the rain as it dripped off the roof. This fit my mood perfectly.

Glad to say, when I got done taking pictures, breathing the fresh air, watching the beautiful clouds move across the sky, and looking at constant things, my world was better.
