The futures bright, the future's........

....a selection of board games. Went over to visit my mum this afternoon in her Care Home and spotted this selection of activities. Sounds OK to me.

The film night is a joy. I thought they would just nip down to the local DVD hire shop and pick up Mary Poppins. Not at all. They get a decent DVD, clear the dining room, line up armchairs and project the film in the dark. Just like the real thing. They also provide a bar for special events.

They even have special dispensation releasing them from the 'no smoking' laws , so you can puff away to your hearts content.*

With all your cooking ,cleaning and bill paying taken care off, sounds like a good deal to me, but will I be allowed to play Captain Beefheart really loud?


oh, and if you fancy a beer you can nip down to the pub anytime you feel like it - just let them know when your expected back!
