Everything Today Is Thoroughly Modern

Shows everyday this weekend (opening, woohoo!) but I didn't get any pictures because stez hijacked my camera. I wasn't about to take Queen Beryl (the canon rebel) into the theatre and start clicking with crazy theatre kids and a giant pit around.

Anyway, it was an amazing weekend. Sutton Foster, the original Millie and coincidentally enough, a graduate of my high school, came to see the show on opening night and despite the technical train wreck it was she loved it. She stayed for a talkback session and afterglow and was warm, friendly, and extremely likable on every level. It was honestly inspiring to have her there.

By Sunday we got the show to near technical flawlessness, so this weekend's shows will be fun. I'm so ridiculously glad I decided to do theatre; my friends have been bugging me to for two and a half years but I never had the time or the incentive. Now I'm pretty sure I'm here to stay since it's just so fantastic.
