Daytrippers #2
Tour guide to the group of daytrippers visiting from Rhodes:
'Now that you are all sitting comfortably in the shade (too comfortable, it would seem as some of you seem to have dozed off), I want to tell you a few surprising things about Symi. Firstly, there are no shops, only museums (including a museum of cake and several grocery museums), So feel free to walk into any building you find, look around for a while and then leave without showing the slighest bit of interest in buying anything. Next up, if you are looking for somewhere to eat the packed lunch so thoughfully prepared for you by your hotel, the cafés and restaurants will be more than happy to let you sit at one of their tables while you munch and won't blink an eye if you don't even order a drink. Finally, if you have any litter, just drop it in the street rather than trying to find a rubbish bin, there's nothing the people of Symi like more than seeing this beautful island strewn with the rubbish left behind by daytrippers. Have a good day! '
Except it was all in French.
I wonder if she pointed out the pebbled courtyard they were sitting in and mentioned that it is arguably one of the finest examples in Greece?
