Even hell has sunbeams...
Well the day in Disney didnt turn out to be entirely pure hell. It certainly started out that way though.
Another day of what the Weather Channel forecast referred to as "near record high" temperatures. High 90's all day, humid and pounding sun.
To get into the place from the parking lot took a mile or more ride on a long rail free train type thingy (no idea what they are called... or at least I cant think right now)... Then into a transport hub where we had to get a monorail another few miles. All tghis with two little ones a double stroller and the usual 150 lbs of junk that we seem to take with us when we go out. Then we had to line up to actually get our prepurchased tickets to get in.
When we got in Little Big Girl wanted to see Rapunzel and Flyn... the line to meet them was 2hrs long... not going to happen... result... meltdown... Then long lines for standard fairground rides. It was looking like a day of standing around in lines to get bugger all done but we found some of the rides/shows had these machines where you shoved your ticket in and it spat out a pass for that ride for a few hours time that allowed you to jump the queue between certain times... I cant remember what those were called atm either... I guess memory isnt working too well today... Anyway those fast pass things helped a lot.We also managed to find a few shaded spots.
In the end Little Big Girl got to meet 4 "princesses" and the overgrown rat and the overgrown rat with the bow on her head as well... we have plenty of photos of her posing with them, hugging them and looking up in awe at them. We saw a few shows (the monsters inc one wasnt bad), We watched a couple of parades, one in the afternoon and some electric psychadelic thing after it got dark.
We left at 10pm... it was a long hot day... Not a great day for me but not absolute hell either. The kids loved it though.
Part of a weeks worth of backblips... check them out if you like...
