The lovely wooden bowl you made, immediately reminded me of this one purchased in Zimbabwe some years ago! It is hand crafted and probably took a good many days to complete.
The lid does not fit perfectly (and why should it!) and has unfortunately cracked, but I am reluctant to throw it away as I still can imagine someone sitting hunched over, carefully crafting this from a solid piece of wood.
