a leaf

I had seen this large leaf in my parents yard the other day and did not photograph it. When I saw it again today, I had to. I did use a filter in Photoshop elements to accent the lines, but it truly is a huge, vein-filled leaf. I've cropped it here to show more detail. These kind of things fascinate me! The patterns and fragility of it speaks to me.
