Earthquake Ravished House

Went back today to take a photo for the insurance agent. He lives in Wellington - 40 minute flight from here- and our Assessor lives in Hamilton - 1 hour flight from here- and after 8 months of dealnig with them they have never seen it. Getting a major frustration point to have discussions about "fixing" the house with people who have no idea, when we have trademen visiting regualarly who instantly say either "it's buggered" or "I won't work on it, its too far gone". There seems to be a real disconnect between the reality of the house on its site and the perceptions of the reports needed to confirm its state, from afar.
Could have strangled someone or many someones!
This photo is a cartoon version. Not the one I sent to the insurer in case you are wondering if I have lost the plot myself. Looks less distressing seeing it like this !
Funny thing was that I have not taken a lot of photos of it, thinking it was a bit boring, but realsied this week that 1 it may not be there much longer to take photos of and 2 I am hoping that losing your house is a once in a lifetime experience and that I hopefully wont have another opportunity to have such a personal disaster photo story.
