Sebastian Kneipp born 17 May 1821 (190 years ago)

Memorial in Stephansried (about 2km from where I live), on the site of the house in which the later Priest was born. 

Kneipp was to water what Bach was to flowers. He didn't ever claim to have discovered the "power" of water but he made it popular & the town of Bad Worishofen about 35km from here probably became popular as a spa resort thanks to Kneipp - not without reason that the town erected & maintains this memorial.

The wreath was laid earlier in the day by the town.

The whole area around here markets itself with the connection to Kneipp,
