Ennerdale Water in the mist

Mountain Travels and myself had a big 2 day walk planned for today and tomorrow, that is essentially the first two stages of Wainright's Coast to Coast Walk. We were doing it a bit back to front in order to leave the car somewhere central and to make use of a lift to St Bees. Our starting point today was Ennerdale, and as you can see by this photo pretty much everything was shrouded in mist. We started to make our up Pillar, but the conditions and visibility were so poor we decided to do an about turn and head back to the car. Unfortunately there were no views to see either.

Hopefully we'll get another opportunity to do it later in the year when weather conditions have improved.
