Tuesday Lunchtime Music at the Ramshorn

Met my dad and brother at the Ramshorn Theatre in Glasgow today.

Polish musician Mira Opalinska (piano) and Douglas Whates (double bass) played a selection of music from films such as Bladerunner, Cinema Paradiso and Rosemary's baby.

This performance was followed by the Final Year Students of the University of Strathclyde's BA in Applied Music giving their Honours Recitals. Hamish Napier (jazz piano) and his band were all I had time to stay for.

During the last few weeks the University Music Programme has been under threat. Today we were pleased to find out that they have received funding for a further three years. However, it may not continue at the Ramshorn, which would be a great pity, as it is a fantastic venue.
