Scratches of old.
The book we use that describes the Munro mountain we were climbing today talked of evidence of glacial action up this one.
I think I found it! These scratch lines, parallel along this rock could be from thick ice slowly sliding over this rock. Stones and boulders carried by the glacier scratch the rocks like this. That's what I remember from my my school geology lessons anyway.
Looks like the ice has only just melted into that wee puddle in the foot of the valley.
