House/boat?
Slept well in a tent, pitched in the middle of a rugby pitch, among snoring bodies, excited children and early rising seagulls! Midgies have gathered to take revenge for the lack of blood last night due to the bonfire, so there were many unrecognisable bodies wandering around in various states of dress with midgie nets on!
Everyone made it to the ferry for their appropriate departure time and as we had booked the 5 o'clock ferry we decided to go to one of my most favourite spots in the world......Calgary Bay in the north of the Island.
We walked on the beach, the boys kicked a rugby ball about, (well they hadn't played with one for at least 40 mins!)
This is such a tranquil place, you cant help taking a deep breath and just absorbing the peaceful atmosphere of this special place. I have a few friends that have been here too and experienced the same sensation.
We had a wander up to the arts centre where the most beautiful walk has to be experienced as you wander through the woodland up onto the moor a discover the most natural, beautiful
sculptures
bringing the woods to life. This place is well worth a visit.
This is one of the instillations that I came across on my meanderings.
(The only bug bare was that much of the view was spoilt by large camper vans, sorry to say, many driven by elderly couples) vieing for the best spot to sit inside their tin van to enjoy their cuppa at a window!!!) Rant over....:)
