Dad's 90th. birthday
Today we had a family get together to celebrate my father-in-law's birthday.
He was 90 last Tuesday but it was decided that the weekend would be a better time for everyone to come along to celebrate.
He is pictured here with 2 of his great grand children, (Lucy and Ben) and he is holding his very special cake.
For 30 years he was a police officer and worked with children in schools teaching them road safety using his invention of P.C. Shiny Buttons. A walkie -talkie was placed inside the bear and his partner sargeant Watson was outside answering the questions from the children. It was a very effective way of getting the road safety message across to the primary school children.
As you can see P.C. Shiny Butons is sitting on the cake!
