My injured pigeon is getting better

This poor bird had been injured and if you look closely at his right leg you can see it.
About 3 weeks ago it almost fell into the garden and could not walk.
Local animal rescue centre said they would only come if I caught it,so I decided just to make sure it always had plenty food on the ground.
Its almost as if he is saying thank you here and he is recovering well.
