Experimental silk

Had a great day at once a sheep yesterday at a silk spinning workshop. I learned lots of new tricks and worked on basic spinning techniques, my wheel is also going like a dream after some much needed TLC from the instructor, it was a great day! I tried tussah silk, cocoons, caps, silk tops, soy silk, throwers waste and had my first go at carding to blend silk, alpaca and other fibres. This is the result of all my efforts, 150m of experimental silk, I love it!

I spent today weaving some of my homespun merino yarn into a scarf, I'm really pleased with it.
