The UFO Ensemble at the Outpost

Mark Weaver's UFO Ensemble is part of Tom Guralnick's improvisation series at he Outpost. Mark Weaver is the leader of the brass quartet with drums. Their music has a shows an original but grounded voice. They opened for the ROVA saxophone quartet. The first time I heard those guys was nearly 25 years ago. I have heard several concerts since then, but none since the mid nineties. They look older but they sound the same. Full of crazy fire and energy. I loved John Ruskin's compositions.
