Clematis montana

It's climbing up the steps next to the Allan Ramsay pub in Carlops and I spotted it yesterday on my way to a meeting. Thought: must blip that on the way back, but promptly zoomed passed it then.
So we made a special trip today and the clematis was worth it. Tried to grow it in our garden twice and twice it disappeared after the first year. Time for anothe go, I think!
