Afternoon wave

Winter is here. The long sleeve wetsuits are out, and the odd mad swimmer is in there in a bikini.

I ended up back on the surf beach this afternoon, struggling to find the normal birds along the river, but thinking it may be a little cool these days for them.

I was torn between a couple of shots but I love the wave in this photo. Plenty of chances ahead to get some great surfing shots. At least I got a Blip in.

Dad goes into hospital tomorrow for a week of intensive drug therapy. He is no longer in remission with his multiple myeloma, so here begins another few months of appointments and travel for him and mum. Lunch at The Coffee Club, then goodbye as they head down to Brisbane for the week ahead.
