St Marks Church , Remuera, Auckland

I walk past here every day and this morning hte light was quite charming...
Built in 1860 The first burial was in 1849, and the last in 1963. This church has a history of 'whose who' in the residential area of Remuera. Married or fare welled - this is one of the most recognised churches apart from the two cathedrals in the city of Auckland.

Another feature of St Mark?s history is its graveyard. In 1968 the decaying and illegible headstones were removed from the churchyard, and the surviving ones placed together behind the church.
