Minature railway - Halswell Domain

We are still exploring our new neighbourhood and set off to visit the Domain today. What a hive of activity it was. This railway operates every Sunday. There is a duck pond, sports fields and a playground. Also tennis club and bowling club.

The guys operating the trains were having a great time. There is a lot of track and a switching yard with a big storage shed - quite an operation.

If you have young kids or grand kids - well worth a vist - $2 a ride.

PS Three quakes in the night - all over 4 on the scale but none of them woke me. I must have been tired. Bit different to the other morning.. We all hope it stops SOON.
