Spring has officially arrived!
When the flowering trees burst into bloom, I feel like spring has finally arrived. This flowering plum (or maybe its a crab apple tree) is so pretty. As I took my afternoon walk today the fragrance was just delicious. In our family we call these trees "popcorn trees", and they are definitely a sign of spring!
I had the funnest day. At Central Oregon Community College I took an Community Learning class about using the internet for travel arrangements. I learned tons--now I'm ready to do some serious traveling!
I then went to Redmond (25 minutes to the north) for a Preparedness Fair. There were such interesting booths there--solar ovens, artisans breads, sprouting, backpacking stoves made out of pop cans. I got to see several people I've not seen for a while-it was very enjoyable.
Ended the day by watching the three grandkids while mom and dad went on a birthday outing with friends, making soup out of the soaked 15 bean mix, and cleaning the house quickly for the weekend! I'm ready for bed!
