Aloe

So, this is what an aloe bloom spire looks like.

I have had this plant for 4 or 5 years (started out as a tiny little aloe), and it has grown into this monster succulent.

Apparently it has decided that this year is a good time to send up its first bloom, which makes me very excited :-)

I don't know which color variety it is, so I guess I'll have to be patient and wait and see.

I also hope that the recent frost hasn't damaged it too much...I tried to protect it, but I'm not sure if that was enough.

We will see.
