Granite Ice Skate Seat Memorial

When I first saw this from a distance while walking round the lake at the hotel I'm staying at in Colorado Springs I thought it was just a very cool seat ... when I got close I saw the inscriptions showing that it was a memorial to members of the US figure skating team who got killed in a plane crash while en route to the 1961 World Championships.
