Age old thoughts
I've blipped it before and here it is again, the intriguing doorway leading me this time to a Chinese restaurant rather than a pizza place.
I was particularly fascinated by an elderly couple in the restaurant, probably in their eighties, who were all dressed up and having a fine meal out. It made me think about what it must be like to be married for so long and look across the table and see an old person, struggling to cut things and read the menu. My uncle has said for years the frustration with getting old and infirm is that you don't change inside and as I age (with increasing rapidity, it seems), I see what he means. So maybe the old pair just see the person they fell in love with and don't notice the wrinkles and the teetering about as they walk to the toilet.
