Mother

It's be an honour and privilege and most certainly a pleasure to have shared my garden with this little family over the past twenty four hours.

Having not seen a House Sparrow for weeks, suddenly I have nine of them, most of the them fledglings. The arrived yesterday evening, all calling for their mothers attention, wanting to be fed. Their flying skills are not the best, there seems to be quite a lot of crash landings going on, but they are getting along fine. Hopefully most of them will survive, as House Sparrows are not very common around here. I only see them on average about once a month.

And as if the family of House Sparrows isn't enough, we have a family of Greenfinches visiting too. Hopefully I will get some shots of them over the coming days.

The musical connection is obviously Pink Floyd, from the The Wall. This time next week I will be at the Manchester Arena fulfilling a life time ambition. There may be one or two more Musical May Blips based on Pink Floyd songs to come ... and some playing around with the camera. I have ideas ...
