Awoke early this morning to find the valley was still slumbering under its blanket of mist. There was a hint of a rosy glow in the sky as the sun made its way over the horizon in the east.

T went off early to do some work for the contractor raking grass on other farms. A day in the garden for me. N fed the few animals we have kept in pens. Two of them will go out very soon when they recover from the vet's visit. The shortage of grass is getting very serious. A shower of rain would help!
