I Didn't Know They Went For Poppies

Each year we have dozens of these big fat furry pink poppies growing where we don't want them--in the vegetable beds, in the paths, too close to the new fruit trees. All the tiny seeds I scatter in the open spaces come to naught. And every year we leave them anyway; they are too stunning to uproot just for our convenience.
