It's Up

Between the rain showers I got the pergola up.
There are still a couple of minor things to do (like bang in a nail or two to make sure it stays up) ......... and there are a couple of 'mistakes' (and some of the worst rushed cut joints in the world) but I can live with them.
The couple of extra bits of wood lying up there are to help support the wistria while I make up my mind whether to use narrow strips of wood or nylon line like I had before.
I knocked off a few flower buds during the reconstruction and reinstation the wisteria but it looks like we are going to have a decent display sortly.

SWMBO did a spot of babysitting this afternoon whilst daughter went for a job interview. It turns out that the contract is only for a year so she isn't that interested. She also recons she had brain freeze and didn't answer some questions as she should so she is treating it as 'a practice run' for the interview next week for the job she does want.

No1 son and his girlfreind are runnning slightly late due an accident closing the M74 at Lockerbie - a reet good un according to her (three guesses which part of the country sh is from) so we will be eating late tonight ........... not good - I am about to chew my arm off now and it with be about another hour and three quarters at least.
