Red thingie

Yesterday I spoke with a collegue about flash systems. He told me that you can capture the veins on the wings from insects better with using the flash. Today I went out into the field with my macro ringflash. I spotted a couple of the red thingies making love, another thingie tried to climb up the dandelion. This one was sitting and having a rest, I went throw my knees ,aimed and focused it manually and at the time I pulled the trigger he took off. This was kind of a lucky shot.
My collegue was right I captured the veins on the wings.
