The Wandering Minstrel

Calligraphy

Today I visited the Summer Palace in Beijing. It's a marvellous place with one of the world's longest corridors, a big lake, and plenty of pagodas. It also has a recreation of a water street, built so that one of the Chinese Emperors could enjoy normal life of walking along the river and shopping, something from which they were excluded.

One of the stalls on this "Suzhou Street" had a calligrapher drawing names. He just looked the part so I had to snap him.
