let's SING!

previously in my life (today, before 1 p.m.):

swim
doctor (possible arthritis in 3 fingers, another sign of aging)
optician - no change to contact lens prescription and I may not NEED a left (reading) lens anymore - bizarre
chiro - small improvements
Tesco Metro - for 2 things and came back with 8 bags including 2 trays of bedding plants and 2 kg of spaghetti, on foot and up 3 flights of stairs.

Now trying to catch up on 'admin' and have a rest. Definitely a bottle of rose tonight. I calculated last night that in just over 30 months I'll start my 7th decade, I NEED a rest.

I used to think that my chaotic, over committed, rushed lifestyle was due to the fact I worked full-time and had 3 kids and a husband to look after, not to mention a cat, a house and a garden. Now that I don't work and have almost none of the above I know it's me - I can't bear to do nothing and I get bored easily so I pack my life with all sorts of stuff. I'm never at peace. Ash recognised this. I should go on retreat with nothing, just me. I must have been hell to live with. Now of course it's only 'me' that has to live with me.

One of the things in my packed life is the Southside Choir and our very first concert is on 1 June at 7.30 p.m. in Southside Community Centre. We've been asked to publicise it - so I am, to the blip community, and if you're in Edinburgh and free on 1 June - we'd love to see you. The ticket price includes refreshments, wine, soft drinks, shortbread and cakes - worth coming for that alone I'd say!

Stop press EDIT - I have a cat again - a bit overweight and slightly middle aged, but I'm sure we'll get on really well.
