Rainbow bridge

This is not the blip i wanted for today. I put together a collage of pictures of my old border collie, Lucy, who i lost to old age at 15 a few months ago. I miss her greatly, she was so gentle and pretty, and i would have loved to have had her represented in my journal today especially it being dog challenge day. Unfortunately it was suspended as it was a picture of a picture! I had no time to use the camera again as i had to rush off for a nightshift. However as i left the house the rain fell through brilliant sunshine creating this perfect rainbow. It put me in mind of the poem rainbow bridge and it seemed fitting and timely to capture it on my iphone as a substitute.
