Apparently they used to wheel this guy down the table after dinner was served, for some purpose at some date-neither of which I remember.

I went to the Edinburgh National Museum today (yes ALONE, stop judging!) in an effort to experience some local culture and history before I depart. In other words, I'm doing all of the free things in Edinburgh now that all my friends are gone and I spent all my money on gelato in Italy.
