Tools of the trade

These are the just some of the tools I use as a community matron (boss type nurse).
The watch is upside down and helps take someone's pulse and count their respiratory rate. The badge shows I am a qualified nurse and I worked very hard for that my first time at uni.

Today is the anniversary of Florence nightingale's birthday, not quite the inventor of nursing but certainly an influence on public health.
Nursing is a mix of science, art, sociology, psychology, anatomy, medicine, social care, chemistry, decision making, team work and good old fashioned looking after people.
It may be a vocation for some...
