Playing with the light

This is a photo from the end of a lustrous day...

Sunday School for this year started today. I have a very nice class of Grade 7's, many of whom I've known since they were small. It's an exciting age to work with, and I'm looking forward to my year with these kids.

In the afternoon I had the usual crowd of teenagers from church over to my house for movies. It was Angelique's 16th birthday today, so we had a cake and balloons and streamers all over. We watched Nachos Libre, which was a pure delight, and then wandered down to Debonairs for pizza, before going to church.

After church I went to the Waterfront with one of the other teens for a burger, which is where we spotted these youngsters playing with the lights set in the ground. The light also illuminates one of Stephen Colegate's wonderful metal sculptures, this one of a ship's figurehead.
