First strawberry

This is the first ripe strawberry of the year but I can't tell you how it tastes because I think it needs just one more day! If the slugs get it tonight I'll be gutted.

The biggest garden news today was a swallow flying in through the open back door and getting stuck in the house. It kept flapping against the windows so I opened them quick and then stood back with the camera. Unfortunately the picture was too blurred to blip. It made its way out pretty quickly and seemed no worse off.
