Everywhere in San Diego are Jacaranda this time of year. Admire from a distance, but later the masses of fallen blooms will stick to your shoes. My Dad, encountering them in Mexico City referred to the G-D Jacarandas. Had a major disagreement with my Mom until I finally convinced her the "J" not silent, the origin being Latin.
