People in glass houses
While we were standing on Peterborough station awaiting the train to Perth an announcement came over that a goods train would be passing through. There was a flurry of activity from the blokes that had been hanging around with their cameras and notebooks. As one who' s travelled many a mile just to see and photograph some wee bird, I'm certainly in no position to throw stones, but hey guys, get a tripod, you'll not get a good shot hand held!
You may remember back at the beginning of April on one of our "expeditions" I got a rather nice picture of a King Eider. Well it's about to be published in Birding World and I've also had an approach from a birder who wishes to purchase a copy.
I don't try and sell my photos so I decided the best option was to have my "fee" sent as a further donation to Steve Akers' Birdlife Malta Fund. This decision was reinforced when I read Lawrie's account of his trip to Malta - it's not for the faint-hearted but if you're up for some nasty realities it starts here.
