Messing about in boats - 6 minutes before the race starts. Our start line is normally set from the end of the west pier of St Michael's Mount - the flags tell us what the race course will be (I can't tell from this photo).

This is taken from my boat and you can see the cleats for the mainsail's downhaul, outhaul and kicker which were blipped last week. The thick blue/white rope is the sheet (as they're called) for controlling the boom and mainsail, the yellow one is the sheet for controlling the spinnaker and the black bars? They're for standing on and hanging off..
