Monday: Steaks

So today, K., my other half, had a birthday and we were both off work.  How lucky is that!  And a splendid day was had by all.

Headed into town in the evening for a few drinks in this hostelry near Covent Garden.  Unfortunately, the dimpled glasses hanging up only appear to be for show.  I only know one place in London that still uses the old-fashioned dimpled pint glass......sigh......is there any truth in the rumour that they were banned because it was easier to knock someone out with them?

K. has been hankering after a steak for some time now so for dinner we went to Hawksmoor, purveyors of very nice steaks.

Arrived home far too late to contemplate blipping.......
