Winter Bones

I liked this photo as it showed a sort of leaf veining which ran alongside the main tree branches, and gave it an interesting lift. It was supposed to be stark and simple without looking too harsh.
Cold day today and early darkness. Nice night to hide inside your cosy warm house, if you had one! Big aftershocks last night had us haring outside in the dark to check our brutally damaged house next door to ensure it had not fallen on the kid living in the office. All was well but it was a rude awakening. 5.3 on the scale which feels like more when it is only about 5km deep. It was very violent and a sharp reminder that the earth has not finished with us yet...
