watching paint dry

i sat and watched this fella painting the roof of terminal something at Abu Dhabi airport for an hour or 6 in stinking hot 30 something humidity. He was so slow that I was desperately wanting to get up there and take over myself despite the heat.
It will take him months at this rate I pondered.
But 4 weeks later upon my return transit visit the whole roof was sparkling and the whole terminal was plush and completely renovated.
Even the air conditioning was working.
After Kathmandu it was like 10 star extreme opulence. Its a mad world after all.
