Starling Stare

I put mealworms out in the garden today and got overrun with Starlings! Beautiful birds but such messy eaters! They would grab and scatter all the worms everywhere and then move a short distance and sort them out in the grass. I got a photo of one with nine in its bill at one time (see here) but I'm sure they managed far more. I like this close-up though and chose this as my blip entry.

Sorry yet again for disappearing but I'm back now. I might not post everyday (should really change my Blip name) but hopefully it'll just make you want to look in more often ;)
