Queen Anne's lace

As spring segues into summer our former farmyard fills with flowering grasses and  Cow's Parsley (also known by the prettier name of Queen Anne's lace although that's more often applied to Wild Carrot). We no longer have goats to keep it cropped but when cut and dried it makes a fine bedding for the poultry.

I hope I am not breaking Blipfoto rules if I mention that the little cottage (once a granary and barley roasting house) is available for weekly holiday lets at a very competitive price! We don't have many bookings this year...
