Storm over Kisimu

As we left the Mara and headed out towards Lake Victoria we spent a night in the third largest town in Kenya, Kisimu. We arrived just as the night was drawing in and this was our first experience of putting up tents, in the dark and drips of rain starting to fall (it is the wet season in East Africa at this time).

With the tents erected it left some time before dinner to capture the stunning display of sheet lightning illuminating the sky.
