Purple breasted roller
This beautiful bird posed very nicely for me on top of a tree in Waterberg, South Africa.
The thing in its mouth is a bee.
It's known as a roller from the male's mating habit of soaring into the air, then folding its wings and "rolling" eathward, flaring its wings at the last moment so that its vivid underwing colours attract the ladies.
I know some blokes like that.
