Flowers For My Mother

I celebrated Mother's Day a day early (refer to yesterday's entry), but today marked the official Mother's Day. For my mom, no present is better than the sight of these tulips in our front yard. It was a cold winter and a too-late-coming spring in Michigan, but now it's finally time to bust out the shorts and sunglasses.

On a side note, as a sports fan, I'm disgusted at the Lakers' behavior. They got swept, and they left with no class. Those were cheap shots, obviously in frustration, and completely uncalled for. On the other hand, Justin Verlander threw a no-hitter at the Blue Jays yesterday, so Detroit representin' in Canada (Blair, I hope you're reading this haha).

But back to my main point. Mother's Day is one day, but every day is mothers' day. Admittedly, sometimes I'm not as grateful and compassionate toward my mom as I should be, but I continue to work on that. So cheers to moms all around the world!

Peace.
